- Click on the My Computer Icon.
- Click the Dialup Networking Icon.
- Click the Make New Connection Icon.
- Type the name of the ISP you are using ( HARBORNET.NET ). Click the Next
Button.
- This screen is asking for the dialup access phone
number. Leave the
area code box empty. In the phone number box type access phone number. Click the Next
Button.
- Click the finish button.
- This should place a new HARBORNET.NET icon in dialup networking.
- Right click the dialup networking icon, Left click the Properties
option.
- Click the Server Types Tab, Uncheck the option labeled Log
onto Network.
- Click OK.
- Right click the dialup networking icon once again, Left click
the Create Shortcut option.
- This will ask if you wish to place a shortcut on the desktop. Click Yes.
- Once this is done your dialup connection is setup. You can connect
to the internet by clicking on the Shortcut Icon you just placed on
the desktop.
- Once the PC is connected then you can use your Internet Explorer
program to surf the internet; or your email progam to send , and receive
email.
